Mark Stucker, Certified Peer Counselor and Case Manager, joined Catholic Charities Counseling in 2015 after volunteering at House of Charity for people experiencing homelessness. He has his Master’s Degree in Social Work from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. More than formal education, however, Mark uses his lived experience when working with others as a Peer Counselor. Mark shares his own mental health and addiction recovery as a way to instill hope and encourage others to share their own unique recovery journey. As Case Manager, Mark connects individuals with community resources they need. He also coordinates multiple providers that a client might find him or herself involved. Mark believes that as well as the weaknesses we share, people have strengths that, when nurtured, can help us overcome obstacles. Mark Stucker
