​The Spark

The Spark is a resource center that serves youth and young adults, ages 12-24.

We provide support for those who are experiencing housing concerns, homelessness, or a runaway youth. Our purpose is to help youth and young adults maintain safe and stable housing by creating a team of people who support them.

Case Management

1.  Housing Assistance:

  • Connecting youth to emergency shelters, and permanent supportive housing.

  • Providing move-in assistance for those eligible.

2.  Health and Wellness:

  • Facilitating access to medical, dental, and mental health services.

  • Offering support for substance abuse treatment and recovery programs.

  • Focusing on areas such as housing, education, employment, and health.

3.  Educational and Vocational Support:

  • Assisting with school enrollment, tutoring, and educational accommodations.

  • Providing job training, resume building, employment placement services and related coaching.

4.  Life Skills Training:

  • Teaching essential skills such as budgeting, cooking, and time management.

  • Offering workshops on topics like healthy relationships and self-care.

5.  Family Reunification:

  • Working with youth and their families to address issues and facilitate safe reunification.

  • Providing counseling and support to improve family dynamics.

6.  Specialized Services:

  • Tailored support for pregnant and parenting youth, including connecting to prenatal care, and parenting classes.

  • Support Groups: Peer-led groups for various life skills.

  • Services for youth with developmental disabilities or mental health needs.

7.  Recreational Activities:

  • Sports and Fitness: facilitate to access organized sports leagues and fitness.

  • Arts and Culture: facilitate access to music, dance, and art programs.

  • Community Events: Social gatherings and volunteer opportunities.

 

At The Spark, we collaborate with a variety of community partners to enhance the support we provide to youth and young adults. These partners include local non-profits, government agencies, educational institutions, healthcare providers, and businesses.
